Mango is a sweet tropical fruit that comes from India. Not only are they delicious but they are packed full of nutrition.

Mangos are a tropical fruit that grows on trees which live up to 300 years! They have thought to have originated from Asia, especially Burma and east India.

Unripe mangos are green and slowly turn golden as they ripen, they may also have a slight reddish tint. The flesh tastes fresh, tropical and really sweet. Mango skin is also edible, it may be slightly sour, and a bit chewy but it contains a lot of fibre and a lot of vitamins!

They are usually eaten raw but can also be cooked. They are a common addition to smoothies and juices. Mango flavouring is also used in sweets and jelly.
