The Food Standards Agency has posted on its site a recall notice by Lakshmi Stores about Parle-G. The problem is about the presence of milk which has not been declared on the packaging, making it a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk. The recall is England specific.
If you have bought the Parle-G and you are allergic to milk, check the Batch code and the Best before date: if they coincide with the recalled product, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. The Batch code and the Best before date can be found on the back of the packaging at the left-hand side.
Here the data of the recalled products:
Parle-G
- Pack size: 79.9g
- Batch code: NK MTL/4466
- Best before: 19 September 2023
