Lasagne is the pasta used in the dish lasagna. It is a type of flat pasta cut into rectangular sheets, which are either dried or sold fresh. They either come completely flat or with a slight ruffled or wave.

Lasagne is definitely the easiest pasta to make yourself! You can most likely make it from scratch with ingredients you have in your cupboard right now! All you need is flour, eggs and a bit of salt. When these ingredients come together they make a hard dough. If you have a pasta machine you can have perfectly rolled Lasagne in minutes but if you don’t a humble rolling pin works well too!

Lasagna is a tray baked dish that originated in Italy. Traditional lasagna has layers of bolognese ragu, white sauce and cheese which are separated with the Lasagne. The filling options are endless, you can experiment with different meat cheeses, sauces and vegetables.

If you are looking for a vegetarian option you could try making a vegetarian ragu or you can skip the ragu filling altogether and use wilted spinach, kale and broccoli!
