The Kenwood stir is an accessory that fits into the cooking bowl. It gently stirs the contents of the bowl without breaking it up and changing the texture.
The stir tool has one long arm that curves at the end and a long flat blade at the side. It is a very versatile tool, it’s great for preparing risottos, stir-fries, stews, savoury sauces and batters like cake mixture. It is also excellent for reheating food.
After selecting an automatic program or a manual setting press the start/stop button to commence the cooking function. Press the button again to pause the operation. The display will flash when paused.
Please be aware that larger quantities may need more stirring time to heat evenly.
Always remove the stir tool before pouring the content from the bowl to avoid splashing of hot ingredients.
Be careful when handling the stir tool after it has been used in cooking as it can remain hot even after the appliance has been turned off.
You can use the RINSE function to clean the stir tool.
To use the RINSE function:
- Fit the stir tool in the cooking bowl.
- Add water to the 1L mark.
- Fit the lid with the filler cap.
- Press the steam button and select the RINCE programme.
- Press start/stop button.
- When the programme has finished remove the part and dry thoroughly.
The stir tool can also be cleaned in the dishwasher!
