Some kinds of apple cider vinegar contain a culture of beneficial bacteria which is called the ‘mother’ (they are referred to as ‘unfiltered’ or ‘raw’). This bacteria culture is what turns apple cider into vinegar! The mother contains proteins, enzymes and friendly bacteria, some people believe that all the health benefits, come from the mother but there is no evidence to support this!

The main active component of apple cider vinegar is acidic acids. Acidic acids help lower your blood sugar and insulin levels allowing your body to burn fat easier!

Apple cider vinegar contains high levels of amino acids and antioxidant which is great for your gut and overall health!
