Recall of Lindt LINDOR Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate Bars due to undeclared wheat (gluten)

The Food Standards Agency, Waitrose, OneStop, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s have issued a recall notice for one batch of the Lindt LINDOR Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate 38g Bars. The recall is due to a packaging error, so in a small numbers of packs there is an incorrect product instead of the one declared on the label: so, in place of the Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate, the pack contains the Strawberry Cheesecake flavoured bar, which has wheat (gluten) not declared on the label.

This error can be a health risk for those who are allergic to gluten: if you are allergic or intolerant and have purchased this product, check the data of the recalled packages and then do not consume the product, but return it to the shop where it was purchased for a full refund.

Here are the data of the recalled products:

  • Product name: Lindt LINDOR Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate 38 g bars
  • Pack size: 38 g
  • Batch code: L5751 17
  • Best before date: 06/2022

The batch code and the best before date can be found on the reverse of the bar located in a white rectangle. No other Lindt products are affected.
