IKEA UK recalls vegetable balls due to the risk of the presence of plastic

IKEA UK recalled a batch of frozen IKEA Huvudroll Vegetable Balls due to the possible presence of plastic pieces in the product

IKEA UK recalls vegetable balls due to the risk of the presence of plastic

IKEA UK has published a food recall notice for a batch of frozen IKEA Huvudroll Vegetable Balls in a 1 kg package. The reason for the recall is contamination of the product by plastic pieces from a broken production line, so consumers run the risk of being able to find these pieces inside the balls. IKEA also specifies the contamination only affects the reported batch.

So if you have purchased these frozen vegetable balls from IKEA, check the Best Before date on the package: if it coincides with that of the recalled batches listed below, do not consume the Huvudroll balls, but return them to any IKEA store. The refund will also be issued if you no longer have the receipt.

Here are the data of the packs withdrawn:

  • Product: IKEA Huvudroll Vegetable Balls (frozen)
  • Pack size: 1000 g
  • Best before: 26 October 2022
