The almond extract is an essence in liquid form, useful for flavouring the dough of cakes and desserts in seconds without resorting to the use of fresh almonds. It is available for sale in every supermarket, in the department dedicated to the preparation of homemade desserts and cakes, packaged in vials or bottles to be poured directly into the dough while you work it.
The intensity of the packaged almond extract can change according to the almonds used by the various companies, in general, however, a 2 ml ampoule is able to flavour 1 kg of dough for cakes, such as the one for carrot cake. Once poured, the contents of the bottle must be mixed to mix it evenly with the dough, and it is possible to keep the advanced aroma in the refrigerator.
