Lid
Each pot has its lid, or so it should be: it is a very useful accessory in the kitchen, both to maintain the temperature and to optimize food preparation times.
The lid has an essential function in the kitchen: not only can it be used to cover pots and pans during cooking to prevent heat or steam from dispersing, but it is also useful to ensure that no splashes of ingredients come out (or foam in the case of cooking pasta).
Usually, each pot belonging to a set has matched the respective lid, which can be all in steel or glass, and based on the use it can significantly improve its performance. Covering the pot in which the boiling water is poured with a lid allows it to reach the 100 ° required for boiling faster, as well as the correct closing of the lid for the pressure cooker ensures excellent cooking of the ingredients at its interior.
Furthermore, for some foods such as light vegetables, cooking with the lid allows you to keep the colour without darkening due to contact with oxygen: this is the case with white asparagus and light zucchini.
