Hummus is just the perfect snack, its healthy, quick and easy to make and most importantly it’s delicious! The best hummus is rich and creamy, the perfect dip for crunchy raw vegetables, pitta bread or adding to falafel wraps, salads and even to pasta.
To make hummus all you will need is a food processor and 5 ingredients; chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon and garlic. It’s so simple!
But the fun doesn’t stop there, adding extra flavours too hummus is a great way to shake things up! You can add herbs, spices and even other condiments, like harissa!
What’s more, hummus is dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, vegetarian and vegan!
Add tahini and lemon juice to the food processor and blend together for 1 minute.
Scrape the sides of the bowl then blend for an extra 30 seconds more.
Add the olive oil, minced garlic, and cumin to the food processor and combine together.
Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl and blend again.
Rinse chickpeas and add half of them to the food processor. Blend for 1 minute.
Scrape sides and bottom of the bowl then add the remaining chickpeas. Process until thick and smooth.
Check the seasonings and season with salt. Serve immediately with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika.
