Montezuma’s Chocolates Limited is recalling Montezuma’s Hot Pickle (Chilli & Lime) Milk Chocolate Bars because a packaging error has led to the presence of undeclared almonds in the product contained in the pack

Recall of Montezuma’s Hot Pickle Chilli & Lime Milk Chocolate Bars due to undeclared almonds

The Food Standard Agency has posted on its site a recall notice about a batch of the Montezuma’s Hot Pickle (Chilli & Lime) Milk Chocolate Bars. The problem that led to the recall is due to a packaging error: some packages may in fact contain a product that has almonds as an ingredient, thus leading to a health risk for those with a nut allergy.

If you have bought one of the Montezuma’s Hot Pickle Chilli & Lime Milk Chocolate Bars, check the Best Before date at the back of the packaging in the white box: if it matches with the recalled product and you have an allergy to almonds (nuts), do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store where you bought it for a refund.
