Being able to make good pancakes from scratch is a valuable life skill. A good pancake recipe needs to be 3 things: quick, easy and produces super light and fluffy homemade pancakes! Theses amazing American style pancakes are great for breakfast, brunch or simply as a snack, but also to celebrate the Pancake Day!.

Ingredients wise you can keep it simple or you can add cinnamon, yogurt, chocolate chips, or mashed banana to the mixture. For toppings try maple syrup, blueberries or crispy bacon. Simply heat the pan and add a generous ladle of the mixture, leave until the top begins to bubble then turn over with a spatula to reveal a beautifully browned pancake. Step nr: 1 - Mix the ingredients

Whole milk 200milliliter

In a large bowl, add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar, salt, egg, milk, melted butter and vanilla extract and whisk well.

Step nr: 2 - Heat the pan

Take a non-stick frying pan over and put it on a medium to high heat.

With a ladle add a small amount of mixture to the pan, allowing the mixture to spread by itself.

Cook for about 2-3 minutes until bubbles start to appear on the surface, then flip the pancake over and cook for an additional 1 minute.
