These spicy chicken drumsticks have a real kick to them! They make a great light lunch with a salad or some veg on the side. They are also a hit at any party, we assure you they will be one of the first things to go!
Drumsticks are great because they are economical, flavourful and stay more succulent than chicken breast.
The key to flavorful and tender chicken is the marinade! The yogurt keeps the chicken moist while the spices add flavour. Simply mix everything together and forget about it for a few hours.
If you’re not so keen on the heat simply reduce the amount of chilli powder, they will still taste great.
Once marinaded just pop them in the oven, sit back and relax while they cook away – this recipe couldn’t be any easier!
To make the marinade mix the yogurt, garlic, sugar, chilli powder, cumin, coriander, lemon juice, salt and turmeric in a medium sized bowl.
With a sharp knife slash each drumstick a few times.
Preheat oven to 200ËšC and line a baking tray with baking parchment.
Place the drumsticks on the baking tray with a little of the marinade and cook in the middle of the oven.
When nicely browned remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly and then serve!
